March 3, 2017 is our Educational/Fundraising Dinner

Speaker is Jonathan Van Maren

He is a writer and pro-life speaker who has given presentations across North America on abortion and pro-life strategy.

Jonathon first got involved in the pro-life movement after viewing a graphic abortion video in 2007, which convicted him to get active. He ran Simon Fraser University Students for Life as president from 2009-2010, while speaking in both the United States and Canada on pro-life issues.

Jonathon graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. He is the communications director for the Canadian Centre for Bio-Ethical Reform.

Why walk?

  • Raise awareness about abortion and euthanasia
  • Raise funds for the work of the society

What happens with the money?

  • Funds from last year’s Walk enabled us to put up a new billboard along Highway 1 at the Vedder Canal, send our pregnancy centre staff to Calgary for a training conference, develop a post-abortive support group program, as
well as keep our office and pregnancy centre running.
  • Our goals for the coming year include developing an elder support program (to reach aging seniors at local care homes), implementing a sexual integrity school program, and offering prenatal classes since they are no longer available at local health units.

How to keep track of pledges

  • Use our online pledging form at
  • OR use the paper pledge forms available at your school or the CPL office.

Thank you

For 37 years our organization has assisted women in our community. Without the generous assistance of all Walk for Life participants, we could not fulfil our mission. Thank you on behalf of the Walk for Life Team!
